The British Museum

A workshop where people could make their very own 'Pop Portraits' to promote The American Dream: Pop to Present at The British Museum.

Each layer of the portrait is drawn on a perspex sheet - outline, hair/detail and skin. These are then stacked up and put on to one of the pre-made backgrounds. A guide leads you through how to do each layer.

This process is meant to mirror the screen-printing technique that was used to make Warhol's original pop art masterpieces.
